HarvestMark® Traceability Now Featured On Progressive's MicroBaker® Line


HarvestMark is a traceability solution that provides instant access to harvest, distribution, quality and food safety information. A supplier uploads key product data to HarvestMark and receives a unique HarvestMark Code for the label. This code can be traced at HarvestMark.com to view info such as farm location, grower profiles, food safety notices, nutrition and regional information, and can give direct feedback for that product. It's a powerful new tool to communicate with consumers and understand supply chain and customer preferences.

Since 1998, Progressive Produce’s management and employees have been committed to a comprehensive Quality Improvement and Food Safety Program. As these programs have evolved, Progressive has distinguished itself as a world-class supplier of products with an impeccable Food Safety Program. Independent third party audits of our facilities consistently rank in the excellent category.

Sorting All areas and equipment in our facilities are under constant review and monitoring to ensure the highest quality and safety of our products. A comprehensive preventative maintenance and sanitation program designed to assure the highest quality and safety of the products we ship is strictly adhered to.

We’ve recently upgraded our warehouse lighting with an all-new, state-of-the-art, energy-efficient, environmentally friendly lighting system. In addition to improved productivity and safety, this new lighting system reduces potato aging.

Ongoing educational training programs are in place ensuring that employees are trained and aware of proper and safe food handling principles as they relate to our Good Manufacturing Programs.

Validation of the effectiveness of our programs is confirmed by a microbiological testing program that includes swabbing of equipment and surfaces as well asproduct testing.Hand Washing

In addition to the afore mentioned programs, we also have comprehensive Trace / Recall, Food Security and Crisis Management Programs and Procedures inplace to assure the highest levels of safetyand security for the products we ship. Good Agricultural Practices and Prerequisite Programs are now being developed with our suppliers as well. Functions from pre-harvest through post-harvest including site selection, adjacent land use, chemical usage, water sourcing and usage, pest control, and harvesting practices including worker hygiene, equipment and field sanitation, product transportation and storage, are controlled, monitored and documented.
