It all starts with quality. Progressive grows, packs and ships the highest grade, freshest produce available to ensure customer satisfaction, and maintain our reputation as the quality supplier.
Consumer Packaging
Progressive’s products are packed in consumer oriented packaging

incorporating bright, clean, attention-getting graphics. Packaging includes product photography, usage suggestions and recipes, and handling, preparation and nutritional information, all designed to stimulate consumer interest and sales. And Progressive gives the consumer options by providing product packed in bargain sizes (large bags), mainstream sizes (5 lb or less) and premium sizes (small bags). Other premium packaging includes microwaveable plastic wrap and clamshell cartons.
Branding
An important part of Progressive’s marketing strategy is the establishment of brands that people have come to know and trust. Our Pacific Gold brand of potatoes and onions offers a full-line of products from bulk to specialty and gourmet varieties. Our increasingly popular MicroBaker brand of microwaveables has expanded with Organic MicroBaker Potatoes and Yams. Sol Pacifica is a hot new brand of fruits and vegetables primarily

designed to meet growing demand for quality Hispanic produce. Our Nature’s Bounty line of Organic products taps into the growing number of consumers concerned with healthy living and the environment. And now we’re providing year-round fresh asparagus with our new brand of domestic and imported vegetables … Americas.
Innovative Product Development
At Progressive, we’re changing produce from a commodity into consumer

products. Our introduction of MIcroBaker microwaveable potatoes and yams brought new sales and profits. Our line of specialty and gourmet potatoes includes Baby Red, White, Gold, Russet and Blue Potatoes, Fingerlings, and Ruby Golds. Jack’s Gourmet Onions has now been joined by our new Pacific Gold Baby Onions. Nature’s Bounty is our line of organic potatoes and onions. We market an array of Hispanic oriented fruits, vegetables, chilies and herbs with our Sol Pacifica line. And now we’ve added fresh year-round asparagus to our lineup.
State-of-the-Art Processing
At Progressive, wholesaling, packing, refrigeration, transportation and sales are all under one roof. We have our own logistics company for maximum efficiency delivering product. We are committed to a comprehensive Quality Improvement and Food Safety Program. An ozone washing system is being implemented and is currently in use on our MicroBaker line.
